If you haven't heard a lot from me in person, on twitter, facebook, or via this
blog over the past few months, it's because I've been head down, working with some amazing people all over the world on the most interesting and challenging project of my career.
The Global Campaign for Climate Action was formed late last year to create the "Make Poverty History" for the climate movement: building a massive, diverse global movement of people showing our political leaders it's OK for them to take bold action on climate change. The GCCA is organizing for the Copehnagen Climate Summit, happening this December, where world leaders literally decide the fate of future generations and the planet.
GCCA's campaign is called "Tck Tck Tck" (click to see the temp site, real site launches in August), telling the world time is ticking for a
real climate deal. We've helped the campaign create a radical and innovative open model, centered around a hub website, www.tcktcktck.org, but with most of the energy coming from the ecosystem of amazing global NGO partners, which include World Wildlife Fund, Oxfam, Greenpeace, Avaaz, 350.org, Amnesty, Christian Aid, and a few dozen other leaders from environment, aid, union, and even business groups.
Anyways, I could talk about the campaign, the partners, the 6 incredible mostly local companies we've brought to the table to execute on the project, the technical strategy, and the social networks and mobile apps all day but have to get back on it, today we're looking to fill one of the coolest jobs on the planet: a blogger and social media campaigner to work on the campaign from now until the end of December. Please help spread the word!
