Information Architecture: It's essential to your organization's success

Last Thursday I attended Part 4 of 4 workshops given by Adaptive Path. Titled UX Intensive: Information Architecture, this workshop focused on the nuts and bolts of Info Architecture. So, what is an Information Architect? To define it simply, an Information Architect is much like a librarian. An Architect takes the time to structure, organize, and label website content so it can be managed effectively and facilitates findability by website visitors.

GUSSE launches at WUF3

Friday was the last day of the World Urban Forum in Vancouver. The conference vastly exceeded its expectations, pulling in over 11,000 delegates from around the world for 5 days discussing the topic of urban living and how cities can continue to adapt and cope with the increasing reality that the vast majority of people around the planet choose to live in cities.

Pembina Institute "Education Experts Summit"

Today I facilitated a “BC Education Experts Summit” at our offices in Gastown for the Pembina Institute. Pembina is an amazingly effective 65 person group that is part consultancy, part think tank, and part advocacy organization, one of Canada’s largest environmental groups. We have been hired by their education department to help launch GreenLearning.ca as a national teacher resource for sustainability education in Caanda.
