On the weekend I got to attend the first ever
Social Venture Institute in Toronto, at the Kingbridge retreat centre just north of the city. It was a fabulous weekend - not just because of the 24 degree C in the sunshine but the amazing quality of the presenters, participants, and nascent community of socially engaged business people forming in Ontario.

For me 2007 will be remembered fondly as the year sustainability, social innovation, and Web 2.0 breached into the mainstream. The topics we've been quietly building a practice around for 14 years are finally top of mind for everyone from business leaders to politicians to the media to Jane Q. Public.
