Campaign Strategy Consultant & Producer
Leslie brings over 10 years of experience as a community organizer and campaigner to Communicopia. Her work has been strongly focused on building creative engagement and movement building strategies to leverage change for social and environmental justice organizations. She has also had extensive experience in organizational development, facilitation, writing, project and vendor management.
Leslie comes to Communicopia after three years as the Medicare Campaigner with the BC Health Coalition. She has built and managed campaigns addressing climate justice and trade issues for the Sierra Club of Canada, water rights for the Canadian Union of Public Employees, human rights for the Institute of Information and International Relations of the Central Tibetan Administration, animal rights for the International Fund for Animal Welfare and international development for Canadian Crossroads International. Leslie currently sits on the Foundation Board of the PIVOT Legal Society and the Citizens Service Society of ACORN Canada. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies & Geography from the University of Victoria and a Master of Science (Planning) from the School of Community and Regional Planning at UBC.
